The newest Friends of Gardner funded program at Gardner, Yoga offers students an opportunity to slow down, connect with their breath and be in the moment. Led by a certified youth-oriented yoga instructor, this program cultivates competencies in mind-body awareness, self-regulation, and physical fitness. Research shows that children engaging in a regular yoga practice have improved classroom behavior, mental and physical health as well as enhanced attention and emotional regulation. Gardner's yoga program is designed with a playful spirit to keep students, of all ages, fully engaged.
